I recently travelled to China in November 2009 with the purpose of procuring equipment, furniture and merchandise to establish a business in Perth, Western Australia. I spent 3 days with Fisher whom I found to be a resourceful, focused and results driven individual. His English in translation, and his negotiation skills were excellent.
During 3 days we were able to negotiate and secure the purchase of a large indoor playground. This agreement was made directly between my company and the Chinese equipment provider. Fisher followed up and assisted in ensuring that this agreement was carried out by the Chinese Supplier and visited to take photos of the equipment prior to it being loaded into the container. I found dealing with the Chinese supplier to be a straight forward transaction due to their professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
Also whilst in Wenzhou, Fisher assisted the sourcing of tables, chairs, lounges, and merchandise (including water bottles, pedometers, balloons, t-shirts, caps, plates, cups, and towels). This part of the order was arranged with a number of different suppliers which required Fisher to negotiate and purchase each item separately, arrange for them to be delivered to a central location, and employ a team of people to assist in the packing of the sea container. In addition, Fisher arranged the sea container to be exported from China and for documentation to be forward to me for processing within Australia.
The outcome of my trip to China with Fisher was a very successful one. We opened the new business on 20 February 2010 and have found that the equipment, merchandise and furniture is strong and durable and that its professional appearance is very welcomed by our customers.
