WMU and Lund University’s Joint Doctoral Project Approved

It is learned that the joint doctoral project in clinical medicine (transitional research) between Wenzhou Medical University (WMU) and Lund University, Sweden has been officially approved by the Ministry of Education. It is WMU’s third Sino-foreign cooperative education project approved by the Ministry of Education after its collaboration with New England College of Optometry and Thomas University in the United States. Meanwhile, it is also the first Sino-foreign cooperative education project in the field of transitional medicine.
The programme is intended to enroll five doctoral candidates every year for a four-year study to conduct teaching and research in both China and Sweden. With the help of two supervisors, a candidate is expected to be a high-level professional with international vision, innovation as well as great capacity in basic research and clinical transition, who is capable of conducting world-leading research in clinical medicine and transforming research findings. A candidate will be awarded double PhDs by both WMU and Lund University after graduation.
